About me

I work as a Translator (EN - SWE), Linguistic Tester, Post-editor (mtpe, ai-pe), LQA, Software / UI Translator, Language Specialist, Lead/Project Manager, Linguistic Validator of COAs (Clinical Outcomes Assessments) performing Cognitive Debriefing (recruitment of patients and interviews) within Life Sciences, Swedish Plain Language Writer and Content Writer, etc.

I am a freelancer and have a sole proprietorship – Johannedals Språk & Konst, with FA tax. I am an approved service provider to several global and local translation agencies and clients. I am also an approved member (Associate) of the Swedish Association of Professional Translators and Authorized Interpreters (SFÖ - SAT). I am also part of the editorial board of e-versättaren, SFÖ - SAT's online magazine.

I have previously worked at RWS / SDL Sweden as an Associate Translator, Lead and Backup Lead for a few client accounts. Examples of tasks included preparation, setup and administration of translation jobs, translations, reviews, post-edits, ICRs, LSOs, linguistic review and testing.

I have studied a Master's 1 y /Master's program in Non-fiction Translation English-Swedish. I have also studied terminology, language maintenance including minority languages and language policy and plain language for authorities and public services. My studies also included English and Swedish linguistics, and I wrote my C-thesis (equivalent to Bachelor's) in English linguistics. In addition, I have taken university courses in media and communication studies and I also have a Bachelor's degree in information systems development (IS / IT).

I have previously worked in many different roles and have solid experience, mostly as an IS / IT/ ICT project manager, but also, for example, as a process and requirements analyst, project administrator, acceptance test manager, project communications manager, web editor, administrative manager, scrum master and service manager, etc.
